Lift Evacuation Training

Nov 27th, 2011

A day that started off cold and snowy turned into a wet, windy and cold day to give us realistic conditions for lift evacuation training. Sixty-two members showed up for a great day of training with the paid patrol. The morning started off with training in FAR, on t-bog belay, rope belay, and avalanche search training. Pizza and salad lunch was provided by MWAR (Thanks Peter!). The afternoon had two rounds of lift evacuation training. During the debrief, Bill Phipps noted that it was the smoothest and fastest lift evacuation practice he's ever seen.
