Nov 2nd, 2011Our new website was revealed and launched at the end of the training weekend, held on October 29-30 at Mt Washington main lodge. The website, created by Shawn Adrian and Gavin Vickery of Input Creative in Nanaimo, was very well received by the membership. The website redesign is part of a larger project that includes a new patrol membership management system to track patrol members, schedule and track duty days on the mountain, and improve communication with the patrol. Input Creative's efforts impressed the members who attended the training sessions on Sunday. There were many comments about how this new system will dramatically improve the complex task of scheduling, tracking duty days and manager's credits. The new system is being designed as a flexible, user-control content management system that will appeal to other ski patrols.
