Membership Agreement
Qualifications:
- Self-directed, responsible, friendly, able to work as part of a team or on your own
Skiing/snowboarding:
- Strong intermediate or advanced; confident on all areas of ski hill in any conditions (must pass a skiing/snowboarding test)
First Aid:
- OEC, OFA level 3 or equivalent
- CPR HCP re-certified annually
Duty days:
Membership Dues - $150
- Refund policy: before Dec 31st, dues refunded will be reduced by 50% for every day patrolled (not on-hill training)
Uniforms/Equipment:
- Dark blue or black pants
- Patrol Jackets, crests and vests supplied (they remain the property of the patrol)
- First Aid pack (supply your own & supplies will be topped up)
- Dark color or red fanny pack or backpack
Benefits:
- Seasons pass for first year patrollers, season pass for families of returning patrollers in good standing
- $15/night for on-hill accommodation for patrollers in volunteer chalet, $20/guests of patrollers
- Staff discounts for food, beverages, equipment & skiing at other resorts in BC
- Training in basic/advanced toboggan handling, high angle rescue, avalanche rescue, accident investigation
- Pot-luck dinners, after-ski socializing, summer campout and more
